We're looking at getting a reversing camera for our motorhome, but the cost is putting us off at the moment. However, I've just found these on eBay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151140595331?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

At just £40, they seem insanely cheap compared to the usual ones I've seen that retail at around £90- £160. Now I realise that they are not going to produce as good a quality picture as the more expensive models, but has anyone tried them? Are they good enough?

Thanks

Looks very good vfm to me - at possibly 1/10th the cost of a dealer fitted one!

Can't see any other user comments but might be worth a punt - suggest you test it straight out of the box before fitting - you can always return it if not happy with the picture.
Btw - from the spec the picture will be fairly low resolution but so are many more expensive ones.

Depending on your van you could also consider a duel view or tilting camera so that you get either a downwards view for reversing or normal road view when driving. (On a smaller van we still used the rear view mirror with a fresnel lens in the rear window ...)

P.s. you seem to be having fun with the 'boy's toys'!

Look for the same or similar model on Amazon. There will be customer reviews on it underneath.

Hi
I bought a twin camera set up for £43 with a 7 inch monitor
The picture quality is ok the colour isn't brilliant but its good enough I've seen worse on factory fitted kit.
I didn't want to drill holes in the bodywork so I made a bracket that fits on to the bike rack I also fitted two extra led reversing lights onto the bracket as well
The hardest part was running the cables fortunately we have an end kitchen with the fridge at the back ,I was able to feed the cables through the lower grill and down under the
Floor through the gas drop out vent along the underside of the passenger side floor I had to drill one hole in the floor of the under bed locker to get the cables back inside the van
With a bit of fiddling I fed the cables under the carpet up the passenger side of the dash and up to the flip up map holder the kit included a double sided adhesive pad for the monitor stand I used this to fix to the flip up map holder
Finding a switched live feed defeated me so I opted for plugging into the lighter socket
I was very dubious about the quality for the price but I really can't fault it we drive with the rear facing camera on all the time and can switch to the other ( with the supplied remote control) camera that faces down to pick out kerbs etc when reversing
I can remove the monitor in a few seconds if needs be but to be honest we just leave it in place
