I have purchased a 1989 autosleeper talisman gl, I am regretting it as I was assured everything worked as should. I have no come back as the seller was dodgy. If I put fresh water in the tank and turn the ignition on water pours out from around the heat exchanger on the water heater [probable frost damage] I see spares are bber pipe and regulator were changed will all the appliances run on proo top going off to the heater vents, can anyone tell me how this works, also it has a butane regulator, what is the difference between butane and propane, and if the pipe and regulator were changed, would the appliances run ok on propane? Also have found a Shurflow pump at the bottom under the sink, would this be the only pump? And does anyone know what water tanks are fitted [capacity] Thanks.

Firstly, if you bought from a dealer, then you do have a comeback under the sale of goods act - no matter what they say.

Secondly, there is obviously a wiring problem because the water heater should not need the ignition on.

Most appliances will run on propane or butane. Propane is best in cold conditions as Butane will not vapourise when it is cold.

Most vans have only 1 pump.
