We had a vw hightop camper for 8 years but bought an autocruise accent 18 months ago. We travel France Spain and Portugal during the winter only staying 3 days to a week at each sight. We'd like to get a scooter and rack to give us a little more freedom to explore, can anyone give advice on which would be the better scooter and rack to go for?
It depends on how much payload you have available to carry a rack and a scooter. You may find you have insufficient payload available so a scooter on a bespoke trailer may be a better option.
Our rack is from Watling Engineers at St Albans. It's an extension of the chassis not tow bar mounted which tend to wobble about. They fitted it in 1 day while we had a walk round town. It gets lots of admirers and questions on sites. It was about £850 so cheaper than a tow bar.
Hi, agree with Rob/Tina, suggest that you check your weight before going any further on this. I have one of these by:

Solid as a rock, as its mounted onto the chassis. Ten mins to connect and also fitted with a ramp 😊
