Advise needed please!
There is a Toyota Hiace Camper that I am interested in buying. It's listed as a 1994 year, just under 60'000 mileage and seems to be in very good condition. I checked the MOT history on the DVLA site and all seems well, got lots of history and is showing as a 1994 Hiace. However when I did a HPI check (only basic) it showed as a Hiace 1994, Motor home / caravan, first registered on road June 2003. I thought this was quite odd so did another check and the info I found was - a Toyota Hiace panel van with a number plate first registered in Sheffield in 1993, that was first used on the road on 1st June 2003...so now I'm even more confused!
Surely the van hasn't been off road for 9 years lol! There's only 2 things I can think of, one being that maybe it was converted and re-registered as a motor home in 2003...or there's something very dodgy about it!
Anyone come across something like this before?
