The upholstery in our motorhome is in need of a facelift. Ideally we would like to replace the foam in the seating which converts to a bed whilst keeping the actual fabric if possible.
Can anyone recommend a firm in the North West which might advise on this?

not in the north west, but there is a firm near Derby that is always mentioned on the forum, you will have to google them as I cannot remember their name, although regal furnishing keeps coming up in my mind

Do your covers unzip if so you could take the foam to a foam shop who would cut and shape new foam for you.failing that a furniture upholstery would also supply and cut to suit.these caravan/motor upholsters charge a fortune.
Plums Preston 0800 542 5454 might be able to help or advise I believe they have also moved into the leisure industry.

Naturlist123 thanks...tried Plumbs but they weren't keen. They could supply the foam only but there is only one grade available which surprised me!
Also they wouldn't consider taking off the original covers (they have no zips) and re-sewing them.
My next move is to ask a local dressmaker or similar if she could put zips in then we could source the foam elsewhere!!
As usual, what starts out as a simple job turns into a big problem 😡

We had our motorhome re-upholstered by A1 Trimmings in Knottingley. Did a fantastic job of reinforcing the foam and the new covers all have zips on them.
I now of some who have travelled there and overnighted in their carpark with the work all being done on the Saturday.
You could ring them and ask the question if it is possible to re-use the existing covers or not. What have you got to loose.
I know they do a lot of work for travellers and if they were no good the travellers would soon go elsewhere!

Has anyone had any dealings with a company called eFoam? We thought we would try a diy upholstery job and we've just received some samples.
I need more info on choosing the correct grade of foam to use.

I wouldn't touch Tockfield with a disinfected barge pole!
They advertise in the CC & C&CC magazines offering a quite sizeable discount to members.
I contacted them for a quote and received an estimate, it was a very interesting price indeed.
Then a couple of weeks later I contacted them again with the final specification which would require less work than when they quoted the 1st time. At this time I was asked if I was a member of either of the big Clubs....... Yes I am, imagine my annoyance when their new quote came back almost exactly 20% more than their first quote. And what discount were they (then) offering to members of either of these clubs, yes 20%.
Now that to me is sharp practice and so I went somewhere else!!!!!
