All I can add is that I have just bought a 1997 C15 Hylo and it is absolutely fabulous. Everything I'd dreamed of and more.
The layout is brilliant, so much space and the sink and cooker opposite each other in the back is ideal. Storage under the seats and in the overhead luton and a specific place to put a Portapotti 335. Mine has a really good leisure battery charging system as well. It's easy to modernise, too. For instance, I've just updated to LED lighting using the original fittings for less than £30. Pumped cold water from an onboard tank, simply operated by turning on the tap.. Superb sleeping arrangement, two singles or a good sized double. It suits me perfectly.
What I have found as well is that being 'old school', there is so much that you can fix or play with yourself. Nothing seems particularly complicated so far...
And that lovely, plodding diesel engine is a dream. Not terrifically fast but I got 46 mpg from my last tankful.
And best of all, on the Small Motorhome Forum (a brilliant place for all things Romahome), there is an expert who will answer any questions, however simple, about any Romahome. The 'Ask Ant' forum.
I've had mine about two weeks and it is just great fun!
Hope this encourages you to keep searching.
