Its been sometime since I posted on here. I wonder how many people run an older campervan. Here's a photo of mine,I've had it a very long time the photo is a few years old but it still lloks pretty much the same as all the serious repairs have been done.

Can't upload photos but our Autosleeper Clubman is L reg (1993) has 100,000 plus on the clock. The problem for us is parts for the VW T4 engine, though we've been able to find them eventually. The motorhome part is amazing, it's perfect for us.

Not a true camper, but we've got a 1991 VW T25/T3 LLE Multivan with full width rock & roll bed. WE sleep in it when at car shows.

Sorry I will have to take some new pictures of the inside as we have redecorated it but there are some on the transit page (there's a link at the bottom of the page). Before this I had a converted Merc 307D. I try and use the transit where possible but up until recently business was very busy so didn't get much use out of it.I sometimes take it to car shows,if you see me come and say hello.
I'll post some pictures later.

Yep! we have an older van, 20 years old next year. We travel to the South of France regularly, so the mileage on it is 105860. Just cost £1600.00 for welding work reecently. See pictures: www.ourwanderer.uk

Hi rogerangie, see you plan to go to Germany. Stopped going there as almost all towns there now have this 'Green' law where only newer engines are allowed there.

We used to have a Ford Transit Advantura (4 berth)

and we a-framed our Morris Minor Tourer behind it for exploring the areas. We converted it to run on LPG.

We then bought a Bedford 7 berth which was also converted to run LPG.

We used them both to tour Scotland, England and Ireland and they gave us many years of service.

However we are now just caravanners, but we still have our memories!!!!!

I've been looking at buying one of these
Motorhomes Fiona w , they look to be the ideal one for what I want in one , especially the length and the whole interior , is it really that difficult to get the engine spares for them ? Are the parts now deleted or something ? Thanks , regards Steve

We have a 1988 Fiat Ducato Highwayman, just returned from a weekend away. Good condition for year and fits nicely on our drive. We have the same problem for parts and are looking to replace two of the side windows which are cracked but no joy. Any suggestions?

Good to see there are some (apparently quite a lot) of older camper vans around.
I took mine to a small car show yesterday,it was the only ford camper there, quite a view VWs on show and a couple of bedfords. Mine is the twin wheel transit version which I'm guessing is quite rare I have seen a few single wheeled ones but this is the only twin.

No problem with the emissions....no one cares.
Plenty of places to park & ride. We love it.
