The clue as to why CAMERVANCORY posted his Original Post here is perhaps a dead giveaway in his NOM DE PLUME. Incidentally, He may NOT know what a CARAVAN is....he would call it a TRAILER. A Motorhome is an RV if it is as big as a bus.
Welcome to the forum Campervancory, I HOPE you get some answers to your interest in our way of life here and how we use our 'vans.
We have just bought our third new one. It was built the first week of April, and we collected her on the 6th May. This far into getting used to it and the differences from the previous 2 ( both new) we have spent 20 nights away in her. We use it regularly, and find the relaxing lifestyle just how we like it. Peace and quiet is all we are after. We both fish and many sites in the UK and France have some wonderful sites with fishing on them. We carry cycles on a rack on the back of it, to get around whilst staying for a few days at the sites we choose. We also have a 'BUS PASS' each, this gives us free travel (sometimes its good to be old) We have never 'wild camped' as we call it. i.e. pull over and stop for a night or 2. We prefer to stay at established adult only, if possible, camp grounds, with facilities such as showers toilets etc. All 3 of our new vans have had very good heating systems, shower and toilet. Cooking facilities are rather over done (Ha Ha) We have never used the oven/stove on any of them. We have changed nothing since being a retiree, and still prefer to only empty a Solids free toilet cassette on site.If you require more info, please do not hesitate to ask.

TownsendT...We do not have the Broadway now, we have an Autotrail Imala 620. Firstly the Broadway....shall I say are you sitting comfortably?
We had the dinette model, with the end kitchen. 4 berth. We chose this for a couple of essential reasons. SEAT BELTS being the priority. As a must, we required 4 off. The twin bench model does NOT have 4 seat belts. It was possible with the double dinette model to sleep 5, easily and without fuss. We had the overcab model. Now, with the double dinette, it was possible to sleep 2 small people in the dinette area without having to work hard to make up the d/bed. It was just a case of slide the 2 seat bases of the dinette towards each other along with the cushions. The back cushions of both the seats dropped into place, without the need for extra infills. Indeed those in fills never saw the light of day after we got the van home on the day of purchase. The bench seat on the nearside of the van was able to slide across to meet the off side seating to make up the most expansive double that would easily sleep 3 ( but we never used it as a double ever. Never mind 3 in it. Why force some one to wake up for one to gain access to the toilet in the night. The same goes for these drop down beds, so the rage at the moment. The broadway was different in that 2 people could sleep length or widthways in this massive bed. No need to disturb any one. So the bench was used as a single, in the same way as a dinette, as a double...the back cushion simply dropped in behind the seat cushions. No need for storing any cushion at all. I better say that since we seem to have stolen this this space of the original post made, I will explain the Imala just for you, in a new post. Sorry Campervancory...will leave you to gather info now. LOL
