Ronecc, You are fortunate with regards the price you paid. Great deal at a bargain?, nice van you have also. The reason I said it may be difficult to haggle on the Benimar is because they (Marquis) are Unique in that no other dealership sell Benimar. Marquis are probably the largest company selling Motorhomes, as they have many dealerships around the country. They are a very good company, and we have always been made welcome when looking around. But the prices we were asked to pay, of the vehicles we have been interested in, have been beaten by our dealer we have now used 3 times. These 3 vans being widely available at many dealers. The fact that this vehicle is exclusive to Marquis made me think that it would probably have a rarity value.
Autocruise have been responsible for me spending a whole load of dosh. I was a rep travelling around the country, and decided to take a break and wander around the motorhomes on a dealer forecourt.....WRONG!..I fell in love with the idea of this way of life, and the van that convinced me to join rather than buy a narrowboat, was an Autocruise Star Spirit...This was 2007/8...and since that time have had 3 brand new ones, none of them Autocruise. Funny 'ol world init. LOL.
