Where will I find the water pressure relief valve on my 58 plate Bessacarr e540 motorhome? Cannot find any reference to it in owners handbook? Many thanks

Not the sort of thing you would normally find in an owner's handbook. Where is this valve? Part of the engine or part of the water system? In either case, it's unlikely to be unique to Bessacarr.

Do you mean pressure switch like this

if yes it will be close to the pump usually under bench or floor of wardrobe.

Pressure relief valve tends to refer to Carver water heaters which were finished well before the age of your motorhome.

Many thanks to you both, the reason I posted the question was because the water system when all taps are turned off still tries to pump water. On checking with Whale systems they stated that I either have a leak in the system or the pressure relief valve may be set too low. I have throughly checked the system for leaks which I cannot find any the alternative was the pressure relief valve which I cannot find grrrrrrr!!

Is there no adjustment at/on the actual pump?

Having said that, if the pump is needing to periodically "re-pressurize" the system, it'd also be worth just checking the boiler drain valve (..sometimes they can "weep" slightly, if not quite seated..)..

As for checking for leaks generally, you'd need to access every joint and fitting to be absolutely sure there wasn't one..and there'd probably be a few buried behind panels etc anyway..

If you have a leisure battery you need to check what the voltage is with a voltmeter as a low voltage battery will cause the pump to operate intermittently or in more severe cases to run continuously. I had a similar problem recently whereby I had difficulty trying to reset the Whale water pressure switch and found that the fully charged battery was losing voltage rather rapidly. However, The root cause of the problem was a defective onboard battery charger as less than 1 volt was being distributed to the battery so the pump effectively was draining the power from the battery quite rapidly.
A new charger was fitted and problem solved but thought it was worth mentioning just in case it's part of the problem you have.
