help!! Have recently bought a bailey 540 compact motorhome. we used the control panel for the bed to move it down, but stayed there and would not move back up. we manually moved it up a little way and tried the control panel again. the up arrow still doesn't work but the down button now actually moves the bed upwards. please has anyone any suggestions?? thankyou!

Hi Jonewey, sorry cannot really help but really empathise with your problem. We avoided buying a Motorhome with this arrangement purely because we could see ourselves in the situation that you're in. Where are you, can you contact the dealer for advice. What about doing what all the IT experts say and turn everything off and back on again. Sounds daft but may be worth a try.

Just a thought , I would think there are limit switches for top and bottom positions ,if one of those has stuck in the wrong position it could be that the system has determined it is already in the up position.Depending on the type of switch ,sometimes a simple tap will do the trick short term if you can locate them.
On a much smaller scale the Omnistep suffers from this problem.
I hope you manage to sort it out.

Hello,
You have let the bed come down and rest on something, the motors have continued to turn and now the bed straps are wound on the wrong way that is why the down button now moves the bed up.
You will need to lower the bed onto some supports by if possible using the up button once the bed is on the supports continue to operate the up button until the bed starts to go up, this will correct the button issue.
