Hi all, I am in the uk on holiday for a few days and would like to look at Motorhomes while I am here. Can anyone recommend dealers ? I'm in the south in Hampshire now but will be driving home to Ireland via Bath and Pembroke in the next few days.

Can't recommend any, but have you tried the Company Directory?

There seem to be several in Dorset, Wiltshire and Devon etc and perhaps a few in South Wales, though these seem to be predominately caravan dealers.

Hi, we bought our caravan and present motorhome from Viscount Motorhomes at Bursledon, just north of Southampton and cannot recommend them too highly.   They are a long standing family firm.    They also do our habitation checks etc.

In reply to Juneg, IMHO you will have to search for a VERY long time before you will find any caravan/motorhome dealer who is totally professional, conscientious and honest! So very sad as that might seem.

We can highly recommend WEST COUNTRY MOTORHOMES at Brent Knoll, Somerset. Just off the M5 junction 22 (not far from Bath). We've been dealing with them since 2006 and have bought 4 new motorhomes from them.

It's also worth bearing in mind the distance(s) that you'd need to travel if(when?) you needed any warranty work carried out.

Don't assume that just because you may have a dealer for your chosen make/model near(ish) to you, that they will automatically carry out warranty work...

(..I have found out to my cost that many will only do warranty work on the vehicles that they have actually sold you).

Obviously, the above may matter less if you are looking at something "cheaper", with a view to maintaining it yourself...
