Thinking of buying a dealer special Elddis Autoquest Motorhome, has anybody got any views on them .

Yes LOL...Very good idea, a lot more choice with a dealer special....Majestic at Marquis dealer, has a lot more gear on it than standard Elddis. Well made and attractive vans and in the last 8 years since we had our first one, they have caught up and passed some other manufacturers.

I'd advise you to have a really good "Google" across as many forums as you can..

..and as with any "dealer special", it pays to not be too dazzled by the add-on trinkets.

Hi Jelly,
I can only speak as I find ,I have the Majestic 155.
Not a high end vehicle but it works for us.Heating is more than adequate ,water system works well and a good size fridge/freezer.Bed is extremely comfortable.Plenty of storage
It is comfortable,the layout suits us and really handles well when driving.
As we all know however, there are rogues out there with most makes.
Pepes link above highlights this. I think the problems arise when you do get a rogue in how it is dealt with.
It still baffles me how these companies have got away with such varying degrees of build quality and customer service.A german friend of mine believes they take advantage of the easy going British and says no continentals would stand for it.Perhaps he is right.
My friend has a Riva Gold 115 which is newer than mine
which has had a few niggles but nothing to start threatening the dealers with. Generally he is very happy with it.

We bought an Autoquest 115 2015 in July this year. Have done a few trips now, & have found it to be just what we need, 30mpg average, good to drive, comfortable, good build quality. Would recommend the Elddis brand without hesitation.

We had an Marquis Majestic Autoquest 165, in general it was OK, build quality not fantastic but it worked OK once leaking roof light fixed, screw missing!! Water entry pipe fixed, wrong size pipe fitted!
Did not think heating was very good and was noisy but we enjoyed it and only sold it due to change in requirements.
We bought another UK made van and are very happy with it, build quality and design far better but more expensive.
Make sure you do a very thorough handover to the point of being awkward and making sure things are written down that you are not happy or sure about.
Then enjoy your motorhome.
