Hi, we have a autocruise rythym 2016 model,we are experiencing condensation from the internal roof section no other parts internaly are affected, has anyone ever had this problem. Look forward to replies.

The atmosphere is saturated at the moment, which could be contributing to the situation in your unit.

Aldi are doing a Dehumidifier next week 1.5lt capacity, for £35 looks quite compact and just 65watt, it could help solve condensation issues.

Hi,thanks for info we are using a dehumidify, but still drips after using heating even on electric ,still as bad even in very dry but cold weather. Thanks again.

you need to improve the ventilation tho too when any heating is on, and esp if cooking

leave the front cab windows down an inch or so I have   covers on them called wind deflectors that helps to do that, the habitation windows on the second lock, I have found this to be best way to avoid condensation in most of the campers and motorhomes I have owned.

Yes, don't underestimate the amount of ventilation that is needed when "living within" a relatively small space.

We tended to leave the roof lights slightly open(unless it was really windy and we risked losing them!? ).
Having said that, I thought a lot of roof vents were "permanently vented" now anyway?(that's why they can be draughty and noisy on the move).

When is this condensation being experienced?..is it during/after full-on cooking(all pans bubbling/kettle boiling etc)with everything shut? if so, then it's understandable..

but if it's occurring whilst you're just sitting in of an evening, then having it dripping from the roof(and whilst using a dehumidifier), seems a bit excessive..
(unless you're a family of 5, with 3 panting dogs? )

With our first, smallish van(2003 Duetto)I don't ever remember condensation dripping down anything other than the cab windows?
(..even our current basic Hiace "camping-van", condensation only ever forms on the exposed metal surfaces..it certainly doesn't drip from the ceiling).

From our experience, providing sensible precautions are taken (some ventilation and heating, silverscreens on outside of windscreen etc.) any serious condensation problems are more likely a 'feature' of the particular make of van. Agree with pepe - it would be interesting to hear what the autocruise dealer said (or did). Sounds like it could be down to poor insulation?

Read about an Autotrail a little while ago suffering the same, the dealer investigated and found Autotrail had missed some insulation out.
