Any suggestions please for an simple easy to use drive away awning to fit a Renault Traffic type camper. Not for long stays just one or two nights and easy to put up and down

Are you sure you need one? They do add to the weight of your vehicle & even the simplest ones take time to put up (just judging by what I've seen on sites). We sometimes put up a tarp (a bit Heath Robinson) if it's warm enough to sit out but raining slightly (otherwise I've put the umbrella up); and we've also used a pop up festival tent to store gear in (until one day when we couldn't spring it back into its bag).

2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

Cheers Fiona - i did wonder about the pop up tent   thanks

I think the awning is also if we decide to stop for two nights - then we might want to extend the van space

Not a drive away awning I know, but we have found this easy to put up for short stays. Can use the canopy on its own, or with sides or front & sides. Light & doesn't take up much space but probably won't stand up to strong winds.

We've just bought one of these to use with our campervan...Olpro Loopo Breeze

We put it up in about 5 minutes, but couldn't guy out as the ground was rock solid. Very impressed with the quality, and love the convenience/speed of an air frame.

We had a secession of drive-away awnings of the years, and roll out awnings, but if you go down that route and want to go out, you'll have to put it back up when you return. With a drive-away, you can leave stuff in it, it's warm and dry and marks your pitch. Obviously takes up more space when travelling, but I'm really looking forward to weekends away with ours.
Hope that helps
PS Ours is the middle awning in the pic.
