Hi Everyone
We're about to start camping in our recently acquired T5 camper and will be using the hook up for that. We still have in our old hook up lead from our trailer tent which carries 3 sockets. Here's the big question :
If we use a special adapter for connecting the tent hook up to one of the internal camper van sockets, can we safely use the TT lead and sockets as an extension lead for the awning? Or do you think it's best just to use a normal extension lead to get a little bit of power to the awning. We completely understand we mustn't overload the amp demand.
(To clarify, we have an adapter for the TT hook up cable which would let you plug in to normal mains at home, so the plan would be to use that into the Camper Van socket as the connector.)
Since there's a circuit breaker on the TT hook up cable it seems it might be a safer option than a normal indoor extension lead. Opinions greatly appreciated, thanks.
