Hi I have an American motorhome that can use lpg, I haven't used lpg before but this is something I do want to use I'm just not 100% sure how and I do not want to get it wrong. I have looked at the pump at a shell garage and can see it says to turn clockwise but I have been told to turn anti-clockwise. I have called into shell and asda but the people that work there have said they do not know how to use it. Can anyone offer any info on what to do and what not to do ?
Thank you
Have a gardening glove handy to wear. Our work cars used LPG, I could guarantee to get a blow back just as I released the nozzle after fuelling (loud hiss), and it's nippy! We got LPG from a Calor Gas showroom; one particular garage nozzle never locked on properly so we stopped trying it.
it is very simple, although I refill at the local Calor Gas retail where an attendant fills it for me, but in Spain and all over Europe you do it yourself, and now by law the gun must have a sort of inverted funnel to stop the gas coming In contact with any parts of your hand, although as suggested you should really wear some sort of hand protection, ie a good welders glove comes to mind, it is effectively easy to refill, just overcome your apprehensions and do it.
