We were in Whitby a few weeks ago and there were a number of Motorhomes parked on the harbourside (turn down next to the co-op - at the bottom of the road) Are they allowed to park 24 hours (overnight) ? I have looked on the website and it says 24 hour parking but not between 11pm & 7am!

I don't understand that....just as I don't understand signs outside pubs.....that say 'Open all day', from 12 o/clock.

Once when asked our hours of business,I replied "24 hour service except between midnight and 8.30"

I know where you mean, it's 24 hour parking for cars only, motorhomes are not allowed overnight just in case we might sleep in them, as if we would.

I was back home in Whitby last week and they have put no Camper parking between 11pm and 7am all over the place.

So I don't think you can park there overnight.

Usually they open Whitby Community College (Whitby School AKA) to Campers and MH's, also the Rugby pitch on Love lane has camper on there also.
