Hi we are just thinking of buying a Gleneagle. Just wondered if anyone had one and had any comments good or bad to make about it or anything to look out for?
Many thanks.

I have no knowledge of the Motorhome you are interested in However I do know that a couple of them are for sale giving age and price etc, so this may be of help to you if that is the type of advice/experience you are after. The first one is at Wilkins Motor caravans in the Cotswolds. Autocruise Gleneagle, 2007, 15,000 miles, £32,995.00. The other one a 2009, in Leicestershire at Motorland, and 27,000 miles at £35 grand. The Autocruise brand was the first van that got us interested in Motorhoming, but by the time the other half got me into a dealer to look at it it had been sold! We were sorry about having missed it as it was a quality brand and very desireable. We did buy a van from that dealer later on in 2008, so it was not time wasted. LOL. You know of course that Autocruise do not make Coachbuilt M/H anymore ?, they now only do Panel van conversions, having been bought out/taken over. I would, if price and comparison is what you are actually after, look on the internet and see what is about, in than brand, model.

Thanks Austins,
We have done the deed. We did look at lots of layouts and loads and loads of vans, and also rented moho to try it out so can't do much else - although still having mild panic at the price of them. The Autocruises (Gleneagles anyway) seem to hold their price - but they are all really expensive aren't they. Until we actually pick it up and have a go we will continue to panic that we have made bad decision!....... or is that just me!

No, certainly not just to do with you. We have had 3 vans, and entry level Elddis (just in case we were not going to do MHing forever!) Then in our opinion top of the range Autosleeper, and now an Autotrail. We were happy, no more than happy with all. We find that it is so relaxing just doing everything we need to do, mostly that is sitting back watching a float in a lake, waiting for it to move off in a rush. (Hopefully) LOL.
You will find it a great way to get around, so relaxing etc. Do try to plan things for your first trip out, perhaps not one big journey, just somewhere near to your home in order that you get accustomed to everything on board and to actually driving it in places with which you are familiar. Cheers and happy travels.
