We've got an inflatable (air awning) for our T5. The T5 is new to us as we've been caravanners for approx 10yrs or so. The awning for our T5 is a large Outdoor Revolution Movelite 3 and takes us about 50 mins to an hour to erect, peg all the guy lines etc and unload stuff from the van into it.

Hubby says it saves carrying lots of poles and I'd say it's easier to put up.

However, we don't always attach it to the van as it works well on it's own too.

Hope this helps?

We have a vango kela 3 low drive away awning which is an inflatable. We find it easy to erect and peg down and as Mrs E's takes about 45 mins to an an hour to have completely set up.

Creating many happy memories.

We also have the Vango kela III , It's easy to put up, can be done 30-40 mins but quicker with practice. The air beams are really sturdy and once all pegged out properly , it won't go anywhere in a gale! Most difficult for us is distance position from the van. We have the tall model. The joining section is actually the hardest to get right and is not too easy to take off and drive away, and rejoin in exact position. There is I'm sure an element of user error.

One thing I would advise is to get decent drive away kit, i.e. The figure of 8 and fillet strip. We bought a long figure 8 but have cut it into 3. Works better, easier to handle . What we don't have , but will get soon, is the strip stops as when windy the whole thing moves along the fiamma awaning rail!

The joining section is very flappy in the wind. The awning comes with huge tension straps too, we might try these over the van roof and pegged down the other side to see if that secures it better.

All that aside.... so far we really like the air beam awning
