Hi, I am not familiar with (anyone Haha )or with anyone who has a Kampa Poled awning. However I do know that Kampa Air products are made with very strong material, and looking at the poled versions (in pictures only) they do not seem of the same quality of fabric visually, as the air ones. Not sure if in Wales you have any big stores that would hold awnings in stock. I would suggest that you look on line for Kampa Drive away awnings, as I have just done, and look for Kampa Travel Pod Mini. This is the only Kampa model I could find. If Kampa stockists are not able to talk with you about the poled versions, I would let Kampa know about it, and ask they supply you direct.
