I managed to snap Awning leg top.
however I have looked to but a new one rather than the whole leg and they are different will they still fit ? I put in year and everything and the e45 but still several different ......
I do not have experience of this awning. BUT I would presume that the aluminium leg is a universal extrusion. Not just a Fiamma thing. These aluminium extrusions will more than likely be the expensive part of the awning support. The plastic? tops will be cheaper to make, and are often altered as they are cheap to produce. I would check out the profiles of the aluminium legs first( as they will be less likely to alter down the years). Usability makes these things change, someone comes up with a better idea so to speak, and if the part you require is plastic, and slots into the leg....it may well fit. I have an old Fiamma catalogue and each item, no matter how small has a catalogue number. When I say old...it is really old. It does not cover hardly any of the items now done by Fiamma at all. Other than this if you are near to a caravan/motorhome dealer pop in there with your broken part(s) and ask them.
Look inside the front edge of the awning for your serial No. and the length of your F45 then contact Agent Fiamma (camper lands) and they will be able to tell you the part No. Very easy to fit. Col
This reminds me I bought a replacement leg top 18 months ago and still haven't fitted - must try to find it.
I looked the part number up on the Fiamma website, paid far too much money for a lump of aluminium and it arrived a few days later.
The only difference that I can remember between the original and the replacement is that the original is pop riveted into the top of the leg so I will need to drill this out, I think the replacement came with a self tapping screw for fixing, but this was some time ago and I might be making that bit up.
