Hi all,we have recently purchased our first motorhome, it has an Electrolux 3 way fridge freezer. Freezer is fine on all 3, fridge is the problem. Runs fine on gas but on 240 and 12v the fridge will not hold an adequate temp and us running at 14 to 19 %. This is not fit for purpose!! Any advice would be appreciated

What do you mean by....us running at 14 to 19%. Percentage in relation to what?

Have you placed a thermometer in the fridge to actually record the temperature as it seems strange that the freezer works and not the fridge?
A 3 way fridge will get colder on gas than mains electric and 12 volt fridge power can only be used when in transit and cannot be used direct from the leisure battery.

Yes we have done that, freezer is fine all ways. Thermometer registers between 14 and 19 when the room warms up, but on gas maintains lower temps. This is from mains not 12v

What's the fridge temperature when it's on gas?
Just trying to compare what the difference is to that when operated by mains electric.

When the fridge is being operated by mains electric, are you sure that the freezer is working effectively?
I find it strange because if it fails on one particular power source normally neither the fridge or freezer works.

As there have been no further posts regarding your question, I suggest the best advice is to have the fridge inspected professionally by a qualified engineer as they will test the appliance and tell you if the fridge is working effectively or not and what needs replacing if it isn't.

Is your van pitched fairly level?. Some fridges are less tilt tolerant than others.
