We are thinking about buying a 7m (ish) motorhome, and, to do the maths, we would like to know how much we could expect to pay for storage when we're not using it.
A storage plot is based on an annual rental basis so you still have to pay when when you're not using the motorhome. It's no different to renting a property as you still have to pay rent when you are on holiday even though the house is empty. You will usually find that the further north you go the cheaper the rates are but again that's depending on the level of security the storage site offers but as a guide, here in the midlands we can expect to pay around £450 annually.
My local storage site charges £413 for 12 months for a MH up to 24 feet.
They have CCTV, high security fence and two large padlocks on the gate.
But it's no-where near Hampshire!
Best move up north!! We store ours nr Durham and have 24 hour security CCTV and access 24/7/365 and all for the princely sum of £300 per year for any size motorhome/caravan.
Ours was £600 at caravan club storage site. We are happy with it except that you cannot get in until 8am so no more 6am eurotunnel like we did with our tent!
Try and keep it at home, you will use it more, putting our caravan into storage was worst thing we ever did,
Having to travel to look after it or collect to go away for a weekend is just not easy
Just our thoughts

We keep ours in storage as there is no room at home. Would be great to have it on your drive but we don't have one! The only other benefit from having it in storage is That it is not so evident to prospective burglars that you are away.
