It has been a while since I last logged on, and need advice as to which club to join. The Camping and Caravan Club - or - The Caravan Club. I know there is a price difference, but in your experience do sites take both?

I'm not sure what you mean. The two clubs are completely separate so unless a club site is open to non members you would have to be a member of the relevant club.

If you do a search on the forum you'll find the question of which club to join comes up regularly, at the end of the day you have to decide which club is most beneficial to you.

Have a look at both Club's websites (Caravan Club re-badged itself last year as the Caravan And Motorhome Club) before you decide, or hang on a few more weeks and compare both at the NEC Show?

Hi, both clubs do accept both Caravans and motorhomes if that is your question. I would say that the most up to date and more 'withit' now, is the Caravan Club...as it is now called the Caravan and Motorhome club.
They seem to have realised that Motor homes were using their sites less than caravans (and indeed tents)so changed their name for 2018.
We have in our earlier years as 'tuggers' belonged to both of the clubs. We used one site in as many as 4 years of one of the clubs.
If you are new to camping, the UK Campsite finder here on the UK Campsite has a vast array of sites to view, by area, type, facilities etc. Personally I don't think you need to join any club. Take a look on here and view the sites. You will find everything you need all over this country, and even abroad. You will find all you need in 'Campsite Search'. Absolutely Bostin this place.
