We are used to camping in a fairly large family tent and have recently got a VW T5.   One if the reasons we swapped to the van is because we got fed up of Packing and pitching a wet tent.

The quandary I now find myself in is how to we gain some sheltered outdoor space without an awning? I’ve looked at small inflatable ones but I still think it will be the same amount of faff as a tent.

Was thinking maybe a sun canopy and a big windbreaker but would a sun canopy keep the rain off?   Any bright spark solved this problem before?

Thinking we could probably get a small pop up pup tent as a storage area for chairs and kids bikes etc when we’re out and about to keep them dry

Hi Lianne,
I won a toilet tent in 2016's Christmas Advent Calendar contest from Olpro.
Now I have mastered how to put it away quickly, it is brillaint as an outdoor covered storage space. It doubles up as a changing room, sheltered seating porch and of course as a toilet tent ! A real assett.

We actually inherited a pop up toilet tent with our campervan. I’m going to order the kiravans rail sail and go with that!

Can o just say, when we had a motorhome and despite having a safari room our best investment was a 3m by 2m waterproof pop up Gazebo
