When we had a MH we lined all shelves with non slip matting and cut pieces about 10cm square to put between plates, etc. Worked well for us.

Charity shops are a good place to buy glasses for the MH. We got 4 crystal wine glasses for £5 in Buxton last year.

Socks are really useful for putting wine bottles in. Then stand in a cold bag. Also good for aerosol cans (fly spray etc) as well to stop the rattling. But we still find wine boxes best, just keep 1 bottle full in the fridge keeping cold.
