Guys

Water treatment products just used puriclean powder to clean the system and it tends to clump together even though I aggetate it , any other good products on the market in liquid form that does the same?

Puriclean is (IMO) the best there is, designed specifically for purpose and doesn`t damage components (unlike Milton, for instance).

Never had a problem with `clumping` as I just dissolve the powder in a little tepid water prior to adding to the system/aquaroll etc

I dilute the Puriclean in a little hot water first. Works for me. Don't know if you are supposed to though!

The only way that Puriclean powder can clump is if it was kept in a damp environment with the lid not sealed properly. If the powder had severely congealed before the application then it's not going to disolve properly unless you add boiling water to it first which would then destroy the sterilising properties which is then basically not fit for purpose.
I've been using the product for the past 10 years or more which is kept in the caravan over winter and I've never had any problems whatsoever. It's the best on the market as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers Guys

Yea would only ever use puriclean to safeguard the ultrastore etc, I just wondered if anything similar was available in liquid form but shall try pre dissolving first. 😊

Update on original post:

Been in touch with Truma and they recommend white vinegar diluted with water to clean out the system. They wouldn't recommend any brand name product's which is unfortunate.
I shall continue to use purifying tabs for the drinking water, and might give the vinegar a try as opposed to puriclean.

Did they say what the dilution ratio is, this was mentioned on the motorhome channel last week but I didn't hear the dilution ratio on there either

Response from Truma

Dear David

Thank you for your enquiry. Truma recommends that you use 2 litres of white wine vinegar diluted into 10/12 litres of cold water, introduce into the water system via the water inlet (removing the filter if one is fitted), open the taps and the solution will pull through to the boiler, leave in for 4 to 5 hours and then flush through.

We can’t comment on any particular brand of water purifier but your dealer should be able to advise on which ones are suitable.

I hope this is helpful but please come back to me if you need any further help
