Hi,
Still learning about our TE Sienna!
We have a burner module that's been fixed by the amazing Gary at ARC.
There seems to be an opinion that the bathrooms need not be used for fear or water ingress, and that most camp sites have toilets and showers; but we are using the van more and more for 'wildish' camping in Scotland, where there is nothing but a view and possibly a tap. So, after a sweaty run, it's great to shower off. I have checked the bathroom out, and run some basic drainage tests - all seems to work and it's dry.
But I have looked for info on the storage heater.
- I am presuming that the storage heater fills with water as the clean water tank is filled?
- How long should it take to heat a full storage tank of water until it's at max temp?
- Should we be able to get a three minute shower from a full storage tank (realise that there a variables: temp, pressure)?
- As the storage tank drains while the shower is in operation, does it refill with cold water from the clean water tank?
- Is it ok to keep the Carver switch on (and I presume that if the Carver switch is on, the burner is on?) while one showers, working on the basis that the storage tank refills when showering drains the hot water, and this influx of fresh cold water starts to heat up if the burner is on?
- If the clean water tank is empty and the storage unit is drained as the shower is used, does the burner module turn off or does it try to continue to heat an empty storage tank?
- Is there a best practice way of using the hot water storage system?
Sorry for all the novice questions!
Best,
Chris
