i had a ducato and had the same problem. I think all the Fiat/Peugeot vans are the same, the radio only works with the ignition on and there does not seem to be a aux facility.
When i had a new radio fitted they made the connections live all the time, the downside is if you forgot to turn the radio off it would eventually run down the battery

Same on my Peugeot Partner but it only stays on for about half an hour without the ignition. Probably to save the battery. Pressing on button again, switches it on.

Yep, my 2016 Peugeot base Motorhome has the same function where you press the radio button and it stayed on for about 5 minutes , better than the last one I had where the wiring to the radio had to be changed,
Halfords did the changes

If it’s the original audio unit it should come on with the ignition on or off.
If it isn’t some one has messed with the wiring.

Hi Gerry,
I think some of the radios have two positions on the back for a link, one is for constant power to the radio and one for ignition only.
I believe my youngest son swapped it on my last van to enable it on all the time.
Not quite sure if it is possible on yours but maybe worth checking.
Regards,
Greg
