Dose anyone own or have an opinion on a Aguri motorhome Sat Nav? Any thoughts appreciated. £200 if you use a code from MMM magazine. It might be worth a try. Cheers Dixie.
smart phone Dixie, you probably already have one and their mapping and traffic updates are far better than a sat nav which is why some retailers are discontinuing sat navs.
Recently bought an Aguri, was looking for a dash cam combined with sat nav and got a good deal direct from Aguri they are offering them with £50 off at the moment. Got a car and motorhome so went with the car one as I use that most and it's £20 cheaper.
Sat nav works easily by postcode or address and the video quality of the dash cam is great.
Hi and thanks for the replies. I’ve seen the offer for the Aguri and I like the idea of being able to put the vans dimensions into the Sat Nav, for £200 looks like a bargain. I have a Garmin Sat Nav with live traffic and a dash cam. I played with different settings but it will take you up the stupidest lanes when it could take you a little further on a perfectly good road. But it is car Sat Nav. When I did trust it I ended up faced with 6 foot 6 wide bridge. I must have missed the road sign somewhere. The van has a Tom Tom and i really don’t get it. It will tell you to take the third exit on the roundabout when traveling on the M5. I’m still looking for the roundabouts. The maps are update on both Sat Navs. I would think you would need unlimited data for the phone and again can you put in the vans dimensions ? So the best plan is to plan a head and do some research unfortunately I don’t seem to have the plan ahead gene. Hence the Aguri. Which are obviously not as popular as the major brand names. Thanks again for the replies, Dixie
All the Aguri seem to have inbuilt cameras, as I already have dash cam I don't really need that. I assume the mapping system is not based on TomTom or Garmin?
For those happy to use a tablet or phone as a sat nave you could have a look at the Co-Pilot App. They do a caravan/motorhome version. You have to pay but its a lot cheaper than a dedicated sat nav.
