Cheers have done that, we have an autotrail imala 620 which is a great van but a tad long, at 6.30 the mileo comes in at just under 6 metres which is ideal for us and it's the only van with an overcab bed in that length which is what we prefer and it has a fixed double bed to the rear!
I know the mileo 331 is a new model but I just wanted to know how they fair for build quality and customer relation etc.
I seem to remember a Benimar owner not being very happy with NOT his motorhome exactly, but the service or a problem he had with the dealer ( FROM NEW). Benimar at that time were only supplied by Marquis. It could be different this year?
If that person could be identified or reads this, you would be able to speak to him/her. I just can not remember who, how, or why. If you are out there Benimar owner, please get in touch with Dave the OP of this thread. He helps all of us, it would be good to respond on your outcome of the problem you posted.
Hi,
We were recently thinking of changing to a motor home (since changed our minds and sticking to a caravan).
We were also interested in the Benimar range. During my research I read some of the motor home forums.
The general consensus seems that most were happy with their vans but feedback on the customer service from Marquis was patchy to say the least.
Check out the m/h forums for more info.
One common complaint on the vans was the low payload so you may wish to bear that in mind.
Regards.
There are good and bad Marquis dealer but another complaint is waiting for parts from Benimar for warranty work. Most of the complaints are small niggly things like the fuse on the drop down bed keep blowing.
Benimar are one of the many companies owned by Trigano. A lot of their motorhomes and caravans are identical to their other brands or very similar made using the same parts bin. So if you look around you might find a similar vehicle at a better price, better spec' or at a better dealer.
