Know nothing at all about them. However you can read reviews on the internet. In preference, I would deal with a well known company to ensure whatever I needed insurance for was with a specialised company.
RDS, would certainly shop around for insurance and ensure that you don't pay for extra's that you don't need. I also feel that unfortunately loyalty has gone out of the window. When you get a quote tell them you have been offered cheaper, they usually reduce the burden. I'm with Saga, find their prices competitive and good service ie freephone, helpful operators 24 hrs a day. Hopefully I'll never need them but you never know! Good luck, it's a jungle out there.
Caravan Guard are excellent. I've been with them for years.
Had 2 claims with payouts and premium is still cheaper then anywhere else.
Ask them for quote, they advertise on this website.
We chose to go with the caravan club for our first year with motorhome.
Our renewalwith caravan club has gone up approx £8 and it is with Axa.
Does anyone rate aka?
Cheers
On the point of offering things you don't need, one insurer (without asking what features I actually needed) offered me a policy with all the bells and whistles - obviously for someone who spent most of their year touring Europe. When I asked the price, it was almost £800! I said, "It's What?" - and they hung up. Obviously I haven't gone near them again, although they are a well recognised insurance company.
I'm insured through the C&MC, but I might switch to SAGA when the renewal comes round in March.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
All you can do is do a comparison at the time. I usually compare about 4, all on the same basis, and go with the cheapest. They have no loyalty, so why should I.
