Hi all
I have a 5m Dometic Awning on my unit. It comes with a circular pole that looks as though it fits somewhere but I cannot see anywhere it can fit, I have no user manual and since I don’t know the model number, the Dometic website isn’t much use. Can anybody shed light on this? Many thanks in advance

Sorry tango55 but I have been away. I have tried the number you gave Jane and they were very helpful - they gave me a couple of more numbers to try. I managed to find the model number of the awning and tried the Dometic online help email. I gave them all the details including the model number but when they replied they asked for the model number again! ‘This has happened twice so I will try the two numbers suggested. Thanks for your help. I will let you know if I am successful.

The awning pole fits in the middles of the awning.
There is a bracket on the end of the pole and this fits into the rail that is fixed to the side of the MH
On the front panel in the middle at the end of the canvas part you should se a grey half round bracket which is where the other end of the pole fits
I dot use mine as it is a loaf of faffing about

Hi Barney. You are correct. My tension rafter didn't have the gizmo at the end so, after a lot of hassle with Dometic US and Europe, I bought the part I needed from Leisure Spares (very efficient but the small part was expensive at £30). I fitted it yesterday and you are right, it's a real hassle to get the tension bar in so not sure if I will actually use it. But, at £30, I suppose I ought to!
Thanks for the advice all. Off to Ixford tomorrow.
