As anyone got and tried a air conditioning unit the one were the compressor hangs on the outside of the van window and the fan is on the inside of the van.
We have one "Cool my camper" have used it in the caravan. Works well for occasional use,but if you are staying anywhere for a long time with temps 30+ then not so effective. For the caravan weight is an issue, i think it weighs 20kg. However, it does provide COLD air, for a fraction of the cost of fitted aircon.
Last time we used it we were in full sun, 30+ deg, we just kept going in the caravan and sitting in front of it to enjoy the cold air.
Would have been better if we pitched in a shady area.

Expect the disgruntled campers on the pitch next to yours to yank out your ehu cable when they get fed up with the noise of the thing humming away in their ears. I have seen it happen.

I run mine all the time in hot weather and never had a problem with complaints from other campers .

likewise we also have a CoolmyCamper aircon unit and in very hot weather or in direct sunlight we keep it running all day and it keeps the van cool .
Bet Neil and Lena have a generator as well. They are noisy bits of kit, this is why people have strict site rules , or move on after one night. Not nice.

yes I do its a Honda Eui 2.0 one of the quietest generators on the market do i use it , yes when were wildcamping with the Motorhome in the middle of nowhere which also has a roof mounted aircon unit
Yes. You have to experience one of these from the outside not the inside. I was 3 pitches away & could still hear it. The Belgian in the motorhome did not see a problem but the Dutch camper next him did & disabled it permanently. Nasty scene & totally unnecessary if campers have due regard for each other & not just themselves.

Cool my Camper units are no more noisier or intrusive than truma extractor fans fitted to many caravans which you hear running and compared to music or children at play which you often hear on campsites they are certainly no worse
