Hi. Help!!!
We have drained motorhome water for winter. Opened taps, removed plugs. But we cannot find the little yellow switch on the boiler for draning. We had one on caravan. You lifted it and it drained.
We have Autocruise, Starfire. boiler is under seat next to wardrobe.
Do motorhomes have this switch and if yes, where?
Cheers
yes they have them, it will be somewhere very obvious and you will wonder why you didn't see it before now, to find it look near where you fill up and follow the cold feed pipes until it goes into the water heater, it will be somewhere between thst

Will nip over and have another look tomorrow. Cheers
make sure you do at the very latest tomorrow as the weather is turning for the worst and the temp is dropping into minus figures, if any water freezes in the pipe work then chance are you will end up with leaks all over and having to replace taps, hence why this should always be done October at the latest
Looked again and I have been able to find drain tap. Looked from inlet feed to tank and no sign of tap.
Inlet feed pipes go from side of van into a pump type thing under seat then under floor for about 12 inch then into clean tank.
No sign under seat or round top of tank, so only other thing I can think of is tank is below pump so doesn"t need drain tap. Gravity will drain pipes.
Cheers

why would a drain tap be on top of the thing your trying to drain???? its at the lowest point so the water will come out, so will be on the floor, just flow the pipework from the heater and you will find it, its like a yellow flick switch thing, pipe in pipe out flick switch and pipe going thr the floor to allow to drain, you have looked by the water heater haven't you?
Yes Marg6. Looked everywhere around heater, under seat.
I think because clean water tank is below inlet feed and heater the plug in bottom of fresh tank must act as yellow drain switch. Gravity will force water down to bottom of tank with all taps in open position. Hope I am right.
Cheers for your suggestions.
