Is it me?just been reading the user guide to out new tv, as we would like to watch a DVD, it’s so complicated. What do other people think, is it just me ?

We have an Avtex TV and all you need to do is gently slide the DVD into the slot and the TV will detect it and give you menu options.

On mine you must select SOURCE and then move the cursor to DVD and then press OK.It will then either show LOADING or NO DISC (in which you insert the disc as stated by David). Menu options will then appear on the screen.PLAY will play the whole disc from the start.

Silver side of dvd to to the front - which is counter intuitive.( on our avtex at least)
