Hi everyone asking for help, having trouble finding a Webber carb for my 87 transit. It says made in Spain Tipo 34ICH been quoted over£200 please please any help would be appreciated, money is tight so recon would be fine 😊 thanks x
What was wrong with my link from your previous thread regarding exactly the same question?
I know you are new to the forum but at least have the courtesy to respond with a comment saying why the throttle cable was no good. I did an extensive search to find what you were looking for so if you need further assistance you NEED to reply.

Try one of the online part finder sites. Just Google Part Finder UK and try one of the sites. With luck someone will have a secondhand carb at a reasonable price.
Depending on the problem with your existing carb, you can get refurb kits. Also depending on the choke size, there are refurbished carbs available on EBay.

Ermmmm it wasn't the exact same question.
Perhaps not, but it doesn't alter the fact that there was no reply. Was the part unavailable, is it not the correct part they need or something just to respond. If it's not the right part then it helps to let the rest of us know so we don't become a load of timewasters trying to help the OP with no response.

Sorry tango55 I only saw your message today & ordered the accelerator cable that you linked me to, so thank you. I didn't mean to be discourteous by not replying & thanking you, but I don't think your message was called for as I thought this was a friendly site. As you know I'm a newbie to this site & I had every intention of thanking you by reply, if you had given me the chance ! It is not the same request & because it was a success with your link the first time I thought I would try again for a carb 😊 sorry once again & thank you once again much love eaglegirl 😘
Eaglegirl, this is a friendly site, and people do go out of their way to help. It's always useful to get a response, but you have no need to apologise for not replying within seconds of reading a post so don't let this put you off.
For something like a carburettor or other engine parts, it's useful to know what engine it is (cc, bhp etc), choke size etc. as there may be many variants. Maybe you could fill in the 'Outfit' field in your profile.
Anyway, hope you get sorted out and on the road soon.

Thanks Captain Lightning I'm not great with this sort of sites, it is the first time I've joined something like this, I'll try the outfit thing & maybe that will help ☺

I just wondered why you posted another thread before answering the first one without a reply that's all. It is a very friendly site and many people will offer help (like myself as you know) as we all have one thing in common in enjoying the great outdoors whatever unit we have.
Some things can be found quite easy by Googling but when it comes to finding parts that may be obsolete and difficult to find (as in your case) then that's when I feel that extensive help is needed which is what I did.
Anyway, my comments were not intended to be offensive but apology accepted and hope you find the parts you need.
When I drive to my garage next week, I'll take a look. I think I have a carburetor from my old transit on the shelf.
Otherwise you have to try the Transit Forum. There they could have success.
I apologize for not answering until now but my old garage is about 200 km away from my present place of residence.
I have found a carburetor for a Ford Transit, but it has been very affected by this. It is probably an original
Ford carburetor and I don't know if this fits them.
I have put some pictures in my cloud and if you want to have it in spite of the look you can contact me. I can't give you a guarantee about the function because the carburettor has been in my garage for at least 15 years.
