Just in case there is a 'no deal' Brexit, and 'who knows if that will be the outcome' right now?
To prepare for any changes, ie. read up on it. Would save time and trouble and enable you to make sure that you are legal and insured to do so.
It is possible to keep track of any new ruling that may occur such as UK registered vehicles being driven abroad at the following website.

Check regularly for any changes or updates that will be made, as and when they do change/if they do change.

My insurance company emailed me today.

If I intend taking my vehicle to Europe this year I should apply for a Green Card a minimum of 4 weeks before I intend to travel.

Not only will you need a green card but dont forget you will need to get your international driving permits, there are 2 different ones dependant on where you want to go, if you plan on doing France/Spain then you will need both

I applied for a green card by e-mail on 24th, and it arrived in the post this morning, 26th. Comfort Insurance are certainly on the ball.

dont forget to buy any travel insurance ahead of Brexit as well. martin Lewis has a good section on his web site about it. I have just bought insurance from direct line and they will cover me for Brexit related cancelations ect but only if purchased ahead of the leave date as after this date trouble could be forseen
