Our fridge uses the leisure battery to work and when we had the very hot weather last year we noticed it didn't work to well and things weren't kept very cold.
I am expecting hot weather next weekend while we are away and wondered if there is anything I can do to "cool" the fridge.
I was thinking of a small fan, but do I direct it at the top of bottom of the fridge? Would that help at all?
1. park so that the fridge is (as far as possible) in the shade.
2. The idea of adding a small fan has been around for ages. You could probably pick up a 12V fan out of a scrap computer for a few pence. The idea is to create a flow of air over the fridge's cooling fins, so placing anywhere convenient would work.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
Ensure the vents for the fridge are clear, with compressor fridges fitted in small vans the vents are often in unusual places such as behind the drivers seat and its very easy to forget and and stick something down there inadvertently blocking the vent and stopping air circulating. You also have to make sure you don't over fill it as. I've used compressor fridges all over Europe and the only time I ever had issues was because we had moved where we stored something and blocked the vent.
