Hi All yo technical people !

Brought my motorhome   was told it was 3700 just went to weighbridge was told it was 3720 full .
Now checked V5 and seen 3500 on paper work and a stage 3
plate in van 3500 . This is next too a stage 2 plate saying 3700 ???

help ? what do we do next ? My husband says leave me and the bikes at home !!

It sounds like the van has been downplated to 3500Kg,if it has you are 220Kg overweight.
As far as I am aware the stage 2 plate is what it was rated at when it left the factory and the stage 3 plate is when it has been downplated.

I would ring the DVLA to confirm what the actual weight is,if it has been down-plated then you would need to take steps to get it re-plated to its' original specification.

You should be able to tell if it has been down-plated from the V5, if it is 3500,the taxation class is PLGV if higher it is PHGV.
