I have a lot of time for Cameron.
Freedom Camping is the term used in New Zealand. Rules apply - your MH has to have a certificate confirming it has a toilet, and can carry 3 days fresh & 3 days waste water. The places (eg car park by a beach) will have a sign that states how many vehicles can stay, and for how long.
Wild camping is a handy short cut expression here for staying where you want in your MH, for free. But in the relevant legislation, up here at least, the law that protects your rights only applies if you're in a tent. In practice, as long as MH folk are responsible, the land owner or police won't knock on the door at 11pm & make you move on. Sadly, that word "responsible" isn't understood by a small minority & they can spoil it for the majority.
Cameron's TV shows, "a road less travelled" and "coast to coast" if I remember, are well worth watching, him in his jolly red campervan.
