Has anyone ever bought from a broker? If so what are the pros and cons?
We didn't even know there was this option

We bought from Marquis and we love our motorhome even though we've had a few teething problems since. But having said that I woukdn't touch them with a barge pole if we were buying another M/H.
Their after sales was very very poor. It bordered on obstruction.
The only reason we didn't go private was because we traded in our caravan against M/H and we were a bit nervous about getting ripped of with dodgy money and possibly a stolen or bodged up M/H.
Take your time and look at all your options before diving in. It will possibly be your 2nd biggest purchase ever.

We purchased our new Motorhome (2016) from Marquis and we did have a few minor teething problems but the guys at marquis Ipswich sorted them out under warranty with no real problems.
I wanted to know what sealant to use on the exterior where a seal near the back bumper needed doing out of warranty and Marquis sent me a tube FOC in the post.
The guys at Marquis Ipswich were always helpful and professional

I bought from Marquis once - many years ago and their work was so sloppy I started threatening legal action. In the end they agreed to have the work done by a third party. I never went near them again. This was many vans ago, so hopefully things have improved over the years.

Ho no it definitely hasn't Capt.
When we were buying everything was great. But after we bought the MH they didn't want to know.
We had a couple of little snagging prob's that i ended up fixing my self for about £6 and half an hours pottering.
Marquis did everything they could to get out of doing the bits of work. ( waste tap and a hinge)
The told me to bring MH in (360mls round trip.) and then told me it might not be on the warrenty. Took about 6 weeks and loads of phone calls for them to get round to telling me they could do it but i would have to leave it over night. over night for 30 mins or less.
I just did it myself. Less bother.
Wouldn't go near them again. EVEr!!!!

We had a bad experience selling a motorhome with Motorhomedepot.
They operate as a franchise. After we contacted the company the local representative contacted us. His main aim was to try and get our motorhome into his depot. We resisted this and kept it on our drive.
We went ahead and agreed a valuation and commission.
Photos were taken which when published were blurred and dark. The description Motorhomedepot wrote was terrible. I ended up writing it myself but they still couldn’t publish it correctly.
The motorhome sold but after the purchaser had paid Motorhomedepot decided they “needed” another £1000 commission. They took this off the money they paid to me after threatening to take the purchased away. I am in dispute with them.
