Anyone got a van conversion? Been looking at a few and can’t make my mind up as to which is the best to go for, so any advice would be welcome. If you have one how do you find it. Any bad points to look out for?

I have the following requirements, needs to be big enough to sleep 3 and to accommodate a toilet/shower room. Must be less than 10 years old. Have considered buying a van and converting to keep cost down. But would be happy with a ready made if the peice is right.

My sort list (not very short) has grown after looking at a few:-

Ford Transit 2.5 Diesel LWB

Fiat Ducato 2.5 Diesel   LWB

Peugeot Boxer 2.5 Diesel  LWB

Citroen Relay 2.5 Diesel  LWB

Renault Master 2.5 Diesel LWB

Hi Omega

http://www.emm-bee.co.uk/home.htm

Have a look at the Avalon Dave.  Although it is 2 years older than you are looking for I know it has been there for a little while  so perhaps there could be movement on the price.  Does have a toilet and is very similar to Autosleepers Topaz layout.  We looked at it a little while ago and it was OK has been TB turbo'd.

Loads here

http://www.toddsmotorhomes.co.uk/used.php

1997 Prima at dealer below no idea if it has a bathroom though

http://www.richardbaldwinmotorhomes.co.uk/html/welcome.html

If you dont have a PX may be able to haggle.

Erm I leave the van bit to Simon lol.  I just get to help wash and polish the outside if I am lucky.

I know more about the insides really.

Omega

It is really which one feels right to buy rather than it fitting everything on your list.  We ended up going back and buying the first one we had looked at.
