im going to sorn my camper in 2 weeks as im havin a new knee so i wont be using my camper till next year so if i plug my electric from my house and plug into my camper will this keep my leasure battery charge up or should i start my camper daily as this will keep my battery charged whats is the best out of the two

I also sorn my Moho over winter. Solar panel keeps leisure batteries fully charged, so no probs there. I have a 12volt powered intelligent battery charger that I used to use on a motorbike when it was stood unused for periods of time. I just removed the alligator clips and fitted a cigarette socket plug to those wires and plug it in to the dash cig lighter socket this keeps engine battery fully charged. I take a look inside Moho and start it up for a short while every 3 or 4 weeks. While engine is running roll it forward and back just short distances so as not to flat spot the tyres.
Never had any problems come spring. 😁

hi ive just had a solar panel fitted to the roof on my van i used to take the battery out every time but now i leave it for 3 months and the battery is fully charge cheers .tom

I had my caravan connected to the mains for 14 years, except when touring, the battery is the same one supplied when I purchased the van new in 2004.
I sold the van last year and the new owner is still using it to power the motor mover no problems.

hi all cant wait to get out and about hope you are all handling the lockdown my leasure battery is fully charged but my engine battery was flat so i have gave my camper a good run to charge it up again now i have a solar panel which is a 2.4w solar battery charger output power 2.4w at 17.5 im hoping this will keep my battery charged is this alright as i have not done this before

Not sure how many amp/hours your battery has but if you have an alarm I’m not sure that 2.4 w solar panel is large enough.
I have a 110 rated battery and did have a 4w solar panel and it was not powerful enough to keep it fully charged .
Eventually changed it for a 30w panel and it keeps it fully charged taking into account the alarm and cloudy days. The panel is inside the vehicle so there is a loss due to the glass / plastic windows.
Due to the orientation of the Motorhome I only get sunlight (whenever it’s out!) for about 6 hours per day but it’s enough to keep the battery fully charged.
However, hope it works for you
