Will an external insulated windscreen cover reduce or increase the amount of condensation you get on the inside of the windscreen and in general the inside of the Motorhome?
Not sure if I am making it worse or better!
I have good venting inside the Motorhome but do get a lot of condensation on the inside of the windscreen particularly when it’s very cold and frosty

I drive a ragtop car and winter condensation is a problem. Easily cured with a bag that absorbs the moisture and can then be dried out on a radiatior at home. A few of these in the van would help tremendously.

We use a silver screen external windscreen cover and have very little condensation problems. Also helps to keep cooler in the summer.

The Silverscreen external covers are great - avoid the cheap copies. If it is very cold you can also fit an internal screen cover. One of the problems in keeping the cab area warm is the cab vents letting in cold air. The Silverscreen versions have a flap that helps to reduce this.

Internal screens will generate condensation, external ones will prevent it.

We have had a Taylormade insulative external cover for seven seasons now and it has been excellent. It stops condensation completely and of course helps retain heat in the motorhome. Taylormade and Silver screens are probably the best know/quality makes of covers. We went for the Taylormade as they do a slightly longer version which covers the vents in the bonnet to provide a bit more insulation and it also stops debris getting the wiper gutter.

David Klyne is right. Without doubt the best of the rest are Paragon Silver Screens (by name) and Taylormade, both fitted to the outside.
People refer to most of this type of protection as 'silver screens' ...do not be fooled. Most of them do not even touch the glass within the cab as they use suckers to stick to the glass. This just promotes condensation and privacy is limited due to the fact they have to be folded to store...they never recover their shape along the folds.
If you want the best, forget the rest the two above are best.

I saw a MH on a site with an external screen that covered the bonnet too. He said he went camping in Europe in winter. But it was the same size as him once it was rolled up into its bag - looks like you need spare space to carry one that size.

In the world of screen covers there are only two of any use, yes they are expensive, but as with most things in life you get what you pay for.
So to be condensation free go for Silver Screen or Taylor Made both External fit.

The only issue that I have with my silver screen is packing tit away when it is wet.
But as others have said if you wish to be condensation free, along with being cool in summer they are great. But not cheap.
I have a Minster Products Polar screen that covers the vents on my Ducato.
