Hi
Can anyone tell me if it's a cambelt or timing chain on a fiat ducato swift sundance 600fb on 2004 .

We don't have a problem just want to know.

On my 2003 Peugeot Ducato it’s a cambelt.
Think your Fiat will be the same.
If it’s an Iveco 2.8 Turbo Diesel engine.
That was the common engine used in all of the Ducato’s at that time.

With engine switched off, just unclip the camshaft end cover and have a look inside to see if it's a rubber belt or chain links. That's the best way to check and if you can't do it, a garage mechanic will check it in a matter of a couple of minutes.

you really need the engine type as opposed to the vehicle type. as previously mentioned its likely to be a 2.8 jtd which needed a cambelt. last time i had one done a couple of years ago it was around £250 and didnt need the water pump as it was on a separate belt.

you might be able to check yourself by using the vehicle vin number?
