What part of ,STAY AT HOME,do you people NOT understand! Lots of caravans and motor homes have been turned around on the M5 at juntion 27 by the Police today! Where do you think you are going stay? All the sites are shut/closed/not open/ you cannot stay on them!
Why do people think it's one rule for them and another rule for others. We have a relatively low number of covid19 cases in the West Country and would like to keep it that way. We don't want people from high risk areas coming here.
By travelling here, you are putting a strain on resources that are already limited and under pressure. We'll all be here when this is over, and we will all welcome you open arms, But in the mean time,
PLEASE STAY AT HOME!!!
This has already been mentioned on other posts on here.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Yep, numerous threads on this and has been covered many times.
Thanks for the repeated warning though, sometimes some people do need it shoving down their throats, but maybe you need to be a bit more subtle rather than shouting at all of US, accusing US of being the ones who are ignoring the rules, maybe a little research beforehand might help.

I wrote to Dr Miriam in the Mirror a few weeks ago asking if it would be ok for us to drive out in the M/H somewhere and just sit and chill for a while. Ecplained we would be self contained because of cooker n toilet. By the time we got a reply we were well into self imposed lockdown, but she said nope, not advisable.
But kids n g/kids had already told us no way. Stay at home in case of accident because we could be putting putting , emergency services and ourselves at risk.
16 year old next to me is never home. People arriving in cars and gangs of them are away day and night. Mid 20 people over the road, cars in and out all day, p to a 12 scramble motor bikes in and out, another half dozen on quad bikes. All playing hell somewhere without a care in the world. I went to the corner shop yesterday morning. Somebody coming the other way, out into the road or a garden giving the 2 metre spacing. at in the shop at any one time, all working nice and smooth. Queued outside Iceland this morning. One out, one in. As soon as I got in the door it was a free for all again. No keeping distances despite the floor markings. It's a very strange world that we are in. Hope the Covid19 takes out all of the ne'er do wells, and the ignorant. Maybe the rest of us will have a bit of elbow room again.
Stay safe all.
I can understand the frustrations. Those of us who are complying with the law have to witness those who are flouting the law every day and can't do anything about it.
I used to live in a fairly quiet cul-de-sac until the planners in their wisdom allowed a road to be ploughed through the bottom of it and built a housing estate on green fields. Now the cul-de-sac is a through road to the new estate. It didn't make that much difference because most of the residents of the new estate use their cars to go anywhere, so we had more vehicular noise but not a great deal of pedestrian traffic.
That has all changed...it is like Piccadilly Circus out there with loads of people walking past and the annoying thing is that there are large, noisy families who don't live in the same household who are meeting up for walks together. There are people visiting relatives, and friends from different households meeting up for walks. There are groups of cyclists and teenagers going back and forth. Many of them are going out more than once a day and I don't have to stand at my windows for hours to notice that.
It is worse now than it has ever been for noise and groups passing by and they are all passing within feet of the front doors and gardens of the bungalows where I live...and these bungalows are Council Sheltered Housing bungalows containing the elderly and in many cases sick and disabled folk, many of whom are too frightened to step outside for fear of being infected by the passing groups of people because they are not quick enough to get out of their way.
The majority of these people are in their 30's and 40's and should know better, but some of the old folk are also accepting visitors from family.
The government's warnings are falling on deaf ears I am afraid. Those warnings are now law so everyone who disobeys are breaking the law...they don't seem to understand that.
They will understand when they, their parents and grandparents, start getting sick and dying...but then of course they will blame the government for not doing something about it sooner.
i try to stick to the guidance. i have been out twice in the last two weeks to take my wife shopping, not exactly in line with the rules, although i did stay in the car.
posting on this site though is unlikely to reach any other sinners, if people feel strongly about someone elses actions then they need to work out another way to challenge their behaviour
The gentleman ? Who made the original post needs to understand his comments should have been made to the Police.
As far as 'we' are concerned he is attacking a really helpful and knowledgeable group of people. People who are responsible and are at the moment desperate to get away and make use of their investment and the sites they visit.
The services he believes his part of the country offers us are certainly going to suffer. Not only now, but possibly for some time to come. Patronage is of choice and yes he wanted to get it off his chest, but not in the way he chose to do so. Possibly causing more harm than good.
He should have looked at not only our forums, but the message our Forum managers have already put here for us.
There are houses in my road where people are coming and going frequently too. I would imagine that it's happening everywhere. Most people seem to be abiding by the rules but there are always those who think the rules don't apply to them.
Am I one of the people he vents about? I am a full time MH dweller with a C/O address but not a fixed residence. We arranged on facebook to group up somewhere in Yorkshire because of the threats some of us were getting. We ended up as 9 but all within the guildelines. Police came and had no issue - helped us to another council run site and come and see us daily.
It ain't right people like me get abuse from others because I moved near their town. I work full time and pay my taxes. I have as much right to an Ambulance in Selby as someone living in Selby does. Council tax pays for the facilities afforded to a house, I don't have any so I don't pay it - and this virus is bringing out the really really bad in people and I am sick of being called a ruddy Gippo! I earn 6 figures and living in a luxury motor home is my CHOICE because I wanted this lifestyle since I was 19 so I set up a housing company and have been building it up over the last 20 year.! In fact I am in the 40% tax bracket!
If we van dwellers starting banging on doors and telling the home owners we were going to burn it down if they didn't get in the car and move - they wouldn't like it!
