Hi all, Hope you 'First out of the starting blocks' people enjoy their first weekend.
I require a bit of help or advice regarding the rear tow bar on my AT Apache 700SE.
TBH it looks past its sell by date, I tried to strip it back to the metal using a high power drill with a wire brush, but as it is plastic(?) coated its proving a very slow process and tbh the end result isn't that spectacular and the white Hammerite paint I was intending on using, I now don't think will give the required result.
SO - Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to replace the whole bar or is it worth while getting it professionally stripped back and then powder coated.
Your thoughts and advise will all be gratefully accepted.
Best Regards
Pilgrim
If you do a Google search I think you will find a standard towbar with single electrics costs about £900 from a company which will travel to you. It depends on the original chassis and whether it needs any adapting. When I was looking recently that was the price I got for my Peugeot based motorhome with an AlKo chassis.
what exactly do you need? i have a towbar with the big white 'nudge bar' across the back in good condition .... that is not going to be used now my plans have changed
i will sort out a few pics of what i have. i have the full tow bar set up plus a motorbike rack that attaches via the towbar. i have never fitted either as i bought a newer motorhome,
