We collected our New Chausson 630 flash on 18/4/2019 from a dealer 175 miles away from home .
As with all new leisure vehicles the first time it is checked for water ingress is at its Habitation Check, this was May 2019.
At the check the workshop found 99% water ingress in the rear garage area. So they ordered a new rear door , seal and frame, these items took from May to December 2019. We were booked in for two weeks in mid January . They “completed“ the repairs after four days .
By now we had lost faith in our selling dealer so we took the motorhome to a Chausson Approved Repairer for the second Habitation check . Low and behold we have maximum readings of damp in the garage area. .
We then obtained a second opinion from a NCC approved technician who confirmed the dampness.
After I posted my opinion on Trust pilot they rang my and asked us to take it back to them for seven days. This was on the understanding that they did not try to rectify the motorhome
(This was hypothetical as they found no fault). So off we go 175 miles drop the motorhome off . We returned yesterday and as I said they couldn’t locate the leak. After things got a little tense we went out to the motorhome . Then Phil being Phil located a 25litre water container which much to their dismay I threw its contents onto the rear door . Low and behold they located 50% damp readings when they found a meter that was working . My £8.95 Ebay meter showed 45%. Their Paperwork says no damp found . But the damp sheet says 45% to 40% in the already changed rear door ??? Am I missing something here.?
They have received a final right to rejection letter.
The company stated I cannot reject after this time as I would have to prove that it was defective on collection in March 2018.
But can they prove it wasn’t .
Comments / advice please ladies and Gents

Have a look at the motorhome fun   website quite a few things on there about rejecting motorhomes.
Can you get a 'First half hour free' type thing from a local solicitor to confirm things?

We rejected our new caravan at twelve months old. We had repeatedly had to take it back time and time again for little faults. When it went in for its twelve month service they found damp under a rear window. That was the final straw. We told them we wanted to return it as it wasn't fit for purpose. They obviously said no at first. Eventually after a lot of hassle and after asking for the name and address to send solicitors papers to they took it back.

Chausson is owned by Trigano the massive French motorhome & caravan maker. I guess the supplying UK dealer name begins with M & is also owned by Trigano so all in house.

If you go on Trigano website you can email them in English about warranty issues. From what you say the issue appears to be about a leaking door seal not water ingress into body structure. I think you will find that body panels are closed foam structure & floor is plastic so cannot soak up water like old type wooden frame body structures.

Repair should be possible for an operative with sufficient skill. I would suggest before entering any costly legal process you should really have a go at Trigano. Email them & phone their French factory. They will have somebody who can speak English.

No problem as I am almost there. We rejected a caravan when it was 11 months old. If the motorhome is on finance it is a whole new ball game as it is the finance house that is responsible for the MH. Did you have complaints within the first six months regarding the issue?

S75 only covers up to £30k and I am sure the motorhome costs a lot more than £30k   I wonder if the OP will come back and update us?
